Decorative vase and bowl from the collection deco mycø

Vase that grow like mushrooms. The decor collection was inspired by a new biomaterial created in the Kyiv laboratory S.Lab by biologists Yevhen Tomilin and Yulia Byaletska.

First experiments, carried out in collaboration with designer and eco-activist Yova Yager, were presented at Paris Design Week in 2021. Later, curator and gallery owner Sana Moreau launched a new decorative collection déco mycø.

The bionic shapes of these objects are made from ceramics from the Ukrainian ceramic studio Natura Ceramica.

Materials and techniques: biological material made from hemp, mycelium and stems.
